Late start this morning, a bit of a lay in, well it has been a pretty hectic week again. Bit of a chance to recharge the batteries!
Short shopping trip to Asda's to pick up some fresh vegetables. I'm going to knock out a pizza tonight haven't cooked one of those for ages and fancy a home made one.
This afternoon back onto one of my favourite tasks getting the VAT return sorted out. This quarter is likely to be the highest payment we have ever had to make and so I want to make sure I have counted everything on the Purchase side.
It takes a while to gather the information together and work out how I am going to do certain things like expenses but by early evening I have got all my information together. Tomorrow morning I will just post all the invoices onto the system and then I should be able to finalise everything.
Next month, once we have the bank reconciliation program in place and have developed the programs to scrape the Purchase Ledger we should be able to get our own General Ledger in order and I will be able to hand over the accounts management to my sister who will be doing the outsourcing work for us. This will be a weight off as I can just focus on raising invoices although I will have to start getting my act together regarding receipts!
I finish the day off planning the workload for next week which is considerable already, I hope that not too much additional support work flies in as I can already see precious few available spare hours!
