A little bit of a relaxed start this morning, up around 8:30am. This weekends project is to further the work already started on some upgrades to our oldest client Westminster University. They had some work done earlier in the year and now they want to update things a little more.
They use the system to provide quotes for computer equipment etc. that assist those with a learning disability to gain higher education and university degrees. Our software helps them to maintain a central database of products and up to date pricing that is used as the basis for the quotes created via the system. The upgrades are to enable the suppliers to connect to the system and keep their prices up to date themselves hence reducing the admin workload by the people at the university and putting the onus back on the Supplier to manage their own pricing.
A good day working on this project and another tomorrow should see me half way through the main programming effort, then it is down to testing prior to release to the client.
I'm doing a little bit of entertaining this evening so I have to pop over to the shops and pick up some food / wine, will be cooking stuffed mushrooms and chicken porkolt tonight !
