This morning I'm off to Tata to meet Helga who used to live in Watford and has now moved back to Hungary. It's about an hour on the train from Budapest. I get myself off to the South Train station (Deli) which I always find a little confusing because I am going North.
I arrive in Tata at 8:30am and Helga as arranged is there to meet me at the station. I haven't seen Helga for a couple of years and so there is a bit of catching up to do! We visit all the hot spots of Tata, which has a population of around 10,000 and is a picturesque town near to the much larger business town of Tatabany.
Check out below some of the old Roman ruins and also the larger of the two lakes in Tata, and the castle.
William Maybanks ( WillMeOn.com ) was in a tournament here in Tata some 4 weeks ago. Tata has a huge Multi sports complex near to the Lake and Angol Park which hosts many national and international competitions.
Train is dead on time and I'm back in Budapest working before 3pm. There are a few things that have cropped up this morning that I must now attend to.
Money still not arrived and so I have to get some emails out to progress this fairly promptly. After work is finished I help Magdi with a few translations from Hungarian into English for her family-in laws based in France and then this evening maybe I will get a chance to grab a couple of beers in a local pub and a Gyros (kebab) on the way back. I have been promising myself a Kebab every night and have not made it yet, so tonight is the night!
Success!! Gyros acquired and consumed on the way back from the Old Man's pub, not too late though as I need to get an early start in tomorrow. Back to the UK at lunchtime tomorrow, but can get 3 or 4 hours work in before the flight!
